Corsair Engineering employees receive Export Compliance Training in August.
Corsair has been busy this summer establishing its Export Compliance Program. After registering with the U.S. Department of State and receiving their commodity jurisdiction on our IM3PUT products, we have developed our Export Compliance Manual and incorporated it into the company’s ISO 9001:2008 certified Quality Management System. All personnel have been trained in export compliance, including ITAR training, and we are prepared to continue supporting our customers with world-class training products.
“Safeguarding US technical data and information is paramount to how we do business, and critical to maintaining trust with our customers and partners.” according to Art Crowe, the Corsair Engineering Export Compliance Program Manager.
“The procedures for export compliance are very similar to how we protect other classes of information. It was good to review our processes to ensure we keep important information and products in the right hands.” So said Corsair Program Manager Ray Plunkett, referring to the employee training received in August.
In addition to other training products and courseware, Corsair’s Integrated Multi-Mission Multi-Platform UAS Trainer (IM3PUT) -R variant is regulated by the Department of State in accordance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). The IM3PUT-S, however is regulated by the Department of Commerce according to the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). As an EAR99 product, the IM3PUT-S does not have the same limitations as the IM3PUT-R variant. It provides US universities with international students the ability to employ a generic UAS training tool in their curricula within the confines of US export laws and regulations.
Corsair Engineering designs, develops, and delivers cost effective integrated human performance solutions that result in measurable value and productivity improvement. Our values are anchored in "Doing the Right Thing."
